RaG BaseBuilding

RaG BaseBuilding adds a modular construction system to DayZ: 21 craftable kits, snap-point placement, configurable material costs, doors and gates, floor hatches, storage, attachments, and admin build tools.

RaG Core is a hard dependency. Install and enable both mods on the server and every client. Declared addon dependencies control PBO ordering.

Latest source changes

Current documentation tracks source revision 176cc2a from 18 August 2026.

  • A construction stage can now have all four PartCosts material values set to 0.0. Building and repairing that stage then require no material attachments.
  • Multiplayer clients wait for the server's BaseBuilding configuration before evaluating construction material requirements. This prevents client-side source defaults from briefly overriding server costs after connection.
  • BaseBuilding Book selection requests now use RaG Core's validated RPC service. Server and client therefore need matching current releases of RaG Core and RaG BaseBuilding.
  • Non-convex model components were fixed for the angled roof, stairs, both staircase styles, and the style-2 staircase book preview.
